By train from Rostock to Bad Doberan 15 min
Bad Doberan's Minster dating back to the 14th century is one of the most significant middle age structures in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. From there one can travel by Molli steam engine past the oldest race track in Europe (built in 1822) to Germany's first bathing lake in Heieigendamm which dates back to 1793. From there you can stroll through the forest along the cliff line to Kühlungsborn-Ost where historical bathing architecture shapes the landscape. The day trip ends at Kühlungsborn-West with a visit to the Molli museum.
