Kayaking in and around Kiel! Take a bike or the Fjord Ferry (Kiel’s bus on the water) to one of the Kayak Rental stations. From there start your excursion on one of the charming rivers and idyllic lakes where – with a little bit of luck and patience – you might discover some rare birds. Pack a picnic and find a relaxing spot by the shore or paddle until you come across a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. And if one day of paddling wasn’t enough – Schleswig-Holstein has plenty of more waterways to discover.
